Fabrizio Romano has claimed on the Last Word on Spurs podcast that the agent of reported Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolas Gonzalez is speaking with many clubs.
The Athletic reported earlier this month that Tottenham are interested in signing Gonzalez from Stuttgart in the January transfer window.
The report claimed that Spurs and Juventus have held discussions regarding the 22-year-old winger.
Romano, who is a well-known and well-respected journalist and works for The Guardian and SkySport, has claimed that the agent of the Argentina international is in talks with many clubs.
The Italian journalist said about Gonzalez on the Last Word on Spurs podcast: “He is an amazing talent. And yes, Tottenham are scouting him. I am told that his agent is speaking with many clubs, so it’s nothing advanced or serious yet.”
Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Gonzalez is a very talented and promising young winger who can also play upfront.
The 22-year-old has made six starts and four substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Stuttgart so far this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the Argentina international made 21 starts and six substitute appearances in the second division in Germany, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
The Argentine is progressing well, and he could prove to be a good signing for Spurs in the long run.
