Celtic could be given a decision to make regarding the future of Jeremie Frimpong.

The young right-back is a popular figure among supporters on account of his enthusiasm and dynamic attacking bursts, but he is believed to have caught the attention of Serie A giants Roma.

Frimpong signed a four-year deal with Neil Lennon’s side in September 2019, and went on to make 19 appearances in his first season at the club.

His form has been patchier so far this season, with the champions trailing rivals Rangers by 13 points at the top of the Scottish Premiership, but his performances are said to have caught the eye of Roma manager Paulo Fonseca.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Celtic have informed the Italian club that they will accept a fee of no less than £13.5m for the 20-year-old.

A sell-on fee of 30% due to Manchester City would see £4m from that transaction heading to the Etihad.

Frimpong’s focus is currently on Hampden, where he will hope to be part of a historic quadruple treble when Celtic face Hearts in the 2019/20 Scottish Cup Final on Sunday.
