Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis remains convinced that Juventus benefit from refereeing bias after the Old Lady’s 3-0 win in Turin.
Juventus have a commanding lead at the top of Serie A after sweeping Roma aside, but Morgan De Sanctis has attempted to cloud their success in controversy.
Ahead of the encounter between the two Scudetto leaders at the Juventus Stadium, Roma’s Francesco Totti and ‘keeper De Sanctis stirred things up by referring to the ‘help’ that the Bianconeri get from referees.
After the final whistle Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon and coach Antonio Conte asserted that they had answered their critics on the field.
“We recognise just how strong Juventus are, but as I said last week the system makes them even stronger,” the 36-year-old lamented.
“The stadium is an advantage that they will keep for at least six or seven years – it is a fruit of the system as well as the ability of the directors.
“But here if you say something against the Juventus system then you are accused of speaking inappropriately. I guess only the winners can talk.”
