AS Roma are now the favourites to sign Justin Kluivert, wanted by both Tottenham and Manchester United.

AS Roma have entered talks to sign Ajax sensation Justin Kluivert in a move that could end Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing the Dutchman.
The 19-year-old forward, son of former Barcelona and Netherlands great Patrick, has been closely linked with moves to both Spurs and Manchester United over the last 12 months. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have already held negotiations with Ajax over a proposed move, although their hopes of completing a deal now appear slim following revelations from the player that those talks over his future were held behind his back. Kluivert has since decided not to sign a new contract at the Amsterdam Arena.

Kluivert’s current deal is to expire next July and agent Mino Raiola is seeking to find him the move he desires this summer. While France Football note the forward has been “courted by several European teams”, it is Roma who have edged ahead of Tottenham and are close to striking a deal, reporting the Serie A side are in “advanced negotiations” to bring the player to the Stadio Olimpico.
Kluivert has 10 goals and five assists in 30 Eredivisie appearances this season.
