Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Roma ace.

Liverpool appear to have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker, after the Italian club’s CEO Umberto Gandini insisted that they have no interest in selling their best players, as quoted by Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato.
The Reds are enjoying a magnificent season thus far, both domestically and on the continent, but it has still been one that has been undermined by a scattering of goalkeeping errors by both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.

The acquisition of a world class goalkeeper is thought to be the missing link for the Merseyside outfit, and Jürgen Klopp is willing to pay up to £62 million to obtain Alisson’s signature in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Liverpool will be disheartened after hearing Gandini’s comments on Alisson, though, with the Roma chief insisting that they will not be entertaining the sales of any of their best players, as quoted by Calcio Mercato:

“We are not thinking about selling our best players. Right now we are living a very important phase of our season.”
A lot can chance quickly in football, though, and it will be interesting to see if Roma’s stance on their goalkeeper changes if and when Liverpool actually come in with a concrete offer for the Brazilian.
