Manchester City target Harry Kane is happy at Tottenham, according to club managing director of football Fabio Paratici.
Speaking to CalcioMercato, the Italian official revealed that Kane remains keen to stay at Spurs. This is despite rampant rumours over the summer that the striker was eager to leave the north London club.
City were the front runners for Kane for the majority of the transfer window. Indeed, reports even suggested that bids had been lodged for the England captain.
However, Kane remained with Spurs as City failed to sign a striker. And now according to Paratici, the attacker is happy to still be playing for Tottenham.
The Tottenham director said: “Harry Kane loves Tottenham. We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the rebuild, and we’re happy with our choice. There’s no need for any new talks with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs.”
It is an interesting choice of words from Paratici given how desperate Kane appeared to want to leave Spurs. With January slowly approaching, though, City might reignite their interest in the Spurs star.
City fans are baffled by latest Tottenham comments on Kane

Yet on socal media, some City supporters believe Paratici is making no sense. Moreover, fans are eager for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland join over Kane given the entire episode over the summer.
