According to a report in The Mirror on Saturday night, Newcastle offered Aarons to Queens Park Rangers as part of a deal to sign striker Charlie Austin from the Championship club on transfer deadline day.
However, The Chronicle has claimed in a report today that the Magpies did not want to include the 19-year-old in any transaction with QPR.
It has been reported by the British newspaper that an agent claiming to be representing Rangers tried to set up a deal that would have resulted in Aarons switching to Loftus Road and Austin heading in the other direction.
Newcastle, though, turned down the offer, according to The Chronicle, with Austin remaining at Rangers.
