Newcastle United loanee Rolando Aarons bagged his first goal for Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

Newcastle loanee Rolando Aarons has taken to Twitter to comment on scoring his first goal for Sheffield Wednesday and helping the Owls to another three points in their latest Championship game.
Steve Bruce’s side have kept their chances of sneaking into the play-offs alive as they produced a 2-0 victory away at Bolton Wanderers, with Steven Fletcher and Aarons scoring either side of the break.
It was a professional performance from Wednesday. All of the sides around them boast a game in hand, but they now sit just three points back of the top six after Bristol City failed to beat bottom side Ipswich Town on the same night.
For Aarons, it was another encouraging performance under his belt. The winger headed to Hillsborough in January looking to prove a point having fallen well off the radar at St James’ Park.

But he has arguably been an excellent loan signing for the Owls. His goal came as he made a fantastic run into the Bolton box and produced an emphatic finish on the slide to send the ball into the roof of the net shortly before the hour-mark.
With six of the top-half still to play this season, Wednesday are certainly going to earn their top six spot if they manage to get there.

But for now, here is Aarons’ tweet following the goal and the win…
