The Newcastle United player has barely featured this season.
Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons has taken to Twitter to comment on his ongoing injury problems.
The 21-year-old is currently side-lined with a ruptured Achilles tendon and it remains to be seen when he will return to competitive action having only recently recovered from a fractured metatarsal.
At his best, Aarons is a fine footballer and one who has long been tipped for stardom at St. James’ Park. However, the longer he remains on the side-lines the more he will be branded as injury-prone and many players before him have struggled for consistency in the face of severe bad luck.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday morning, the Newcastle player wrote, “Sick of talking about injuries and recoveries etc, but at a very good place at the minute spiritually and emotionally.
“One day I will put all these years of not doing what I love behind me and become what I believe I can be. Miss being out there.”
It was a message that generated plenty of responses from the Newcastle faithful, who are keen to see the gifted wide man back on the field in due course.
His Magpies teammates are doing well in the Championship this season, pushing hard for promotion, although they suffered a setback last time out when they lost 1-0 to Blackburn Rovers.
That said, Newcastle are still second in the table and look on course for automatic promotion come May.
