The forward was hugely impressive as West Bromwich Albion beat Liverpool in the FA Cup.

There haven’t been many positive signs for West Bromwich Albion this season, but the victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup at the weekend could well give the club a major boost going into the rest of the campaign.
Jay Rodriguez hit a brace as West Brom won 3-2 at Anfield to progress to the fifth round of the competition.
While a lengthy cup run would be welcomed by West Brom, the club’s main aim is certainly to preserve their Premier League status and they are currently in the relegation zone having won just three top flight games all season.

There is certainly much work for Alan Pardew’s side to do in order to stay up, but they can take great encouragement from the spirited display that they produced against Liverpool, with Rodriguez especially standing out.
The 28-year-old tormented the Liverpool back line with his clever movement and he could well have a major part to play in the remainder of the campaign.

Rodriguez has been in impressive form in the Premier League of late – he has two goals and an assist in his last four games – and he will now be seeking to push on further as West Brom look to get out of their current predicament.
