Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has raved about Arsenal-linked Federico Valverde in CM.
Real Madrid star Valverde has been linked with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Defensa Central reported in October 2022 that Arsenal had scouts watching the Uruguay international in action for Madrid against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League.
While the scouts were at the game to watch Shakhtar winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, they were hugely impressed by Valverde, according to the report, which we covered here on HITC Sport.
The 24-year-old is a very versatile player who has played predominately as a winger for Madrid this season, with him also able to operate as central midfielder.
Tottenham midfielder Bentancur plays with Valverde for the Uruguay national football team.
Uruguay will play at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
Valverde has been on the books of Madrid since 2016 and has established himself as a key figure in manager Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
The 24-year-old was an instrumental figure in Madrid winning the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League last season.

So far this season, Valverde has made 12 starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga for Los Blancos.
The winger has scored six goals and given two assists in those matches.
Valverde has also scored two goals and given two assists in five UEFA Champions League matches for Madrid so far this season.
