Arsenal were beaten on the road once again on Monday night as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United.
Former Manchester City player Rodney Marsh has told Gary Lineker on Twitter that Arsenal’s struggling forward Nicolas Pepe is more suited to Barcelona.
Pepe was in action for Arsenal last night as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United as Unai Emery’s side produced yet another poor performance on the road.
Since joining Arsenal in the summer, it has been a tough start for Pepe, who is yet to really get going, though he has shown glimpses about what he is all about.
Former Sky Sports pundit and footballer Marsh believes that Pepe is being ‘wasted’ at Arsenal as he thinks his style of play is better off being expressed in Catalan.

Arsenal’s inability to produce the goods on the road isn’t helping someone like Pepe who is trying to settle into life in North London.
Whilst it is still very early on in the season, the pressure is mounting on the youngster because of the big stage he is playing on and because of the performances Arsenal are producing.
Against Sheffield United, he was substituted by his manager in the second half even though it could have been argued that he was actually showing encouraging signs on the pitch.
Nonetheless, both Pepe and Arsenal will now turn their attention to Europa League matters before taking on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
