Everton’s Ross Barkley did not come off the substitutes’ bench during their match against Manchester United.
Rodney Marsh has once again suggested that Ross Barkley should leave Everton for a ‘bigger club’.
Marsh suggested that Barkley should be looking to leave Goodison Park two years ago, if he wanted to fulfil his pontential.
And, after Barkley was left on the bench during Everton’s match against Manchester United earlier today, the former Queens Park Rangers man has once again suggested that the England international needs to move on.
Ronald Koeman turned to Gerard Deulofeu and Enner Valencia instead of Barkley with Everton trailing 1-0 against United.
The Dutch boss’s decision was vindicated, as Everton managed to get back into the match.
The Toffees scored a late penalty through Leighton Baines, to ensure that the points were shared between the two sides.
Barkley has had a difficult season so far, but Koeman’s decision not to bring him on at all, suggests he has fallen a long way down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
Everton are next in action against Watford on Saturday, and Barkley may have to make do with a place on the substitutes’ bench again.
