
Rodney Marsh has praised Joe Willock on Twitter for winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for May for Newcastle United.
Willock was on loan at Newcastle from Premier League rivals Arsenal during the second half of the season.
The 22-year-old midfielder played a big role in the Magpies staving off the dreaded drop to the Championship.
The youngster made 11 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle.
The Englishman scored eight goals in those matches.
Willock was brilliant for Newcastle in the month of May.
The youngster scored four goals this month. They were against Leicester City, Manchester City, Sheffield United and Fulham.

Willock beat the likes of Gareth Bale, Alisson and Sadio Mane to the award.
Former Fulham and Manchester City forward Marsh has praised Willock on Twitter for his heroics.
The Daily Mail has reported that Newcastle want to bring Willock back to St. James’ Park for next season.
The report has added that Arsenal will want as much as £20 million as transfer fee for the 22-year-old.
It will be interesting to see if the Magpies are willing to pay that much for Willock.
