Queens Park Rangers have brought Ian Holloway back as manager.
Queens Park Rangers hero Rodney Marsh has taken to Twitter to offer his thoughts on the club’s decision to re-appoint former manager Ian Holloway.
QPR sacked manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink earlier this month, after the Dutchman oversaw a run of just two wins in ten games, which left the R’s in 17th place in the Championship table.

A host of names were linked with the QPR job following Hasselbaink’s departure, from Tim Sherwood to Paul Clement, but chairman Tony Fernandes eventually settled on Ian Holloway.
The 53-year-old was appointed as QPR boss on Friday evening, and his move means it’s emotional return to Loftus Road for the former Blackpool and Crystal Palace manager.

Holloway not only racked up more than 150 appearances for QPR during his playing career, but then returned as their manager in 2001, managing more than 250 games in almost five years at the helm.
Now, Holloway is back, and Fernandes will be hoping that his decision was the right one after years of chopping and changing managers, whilst the return of a former fan favourite appears to have satisfied supporters.

Today, QPR legend Rodney Marsh was asked for his thoughts on the appointment, and his simple response was to suggest that Holloway ‘ticks most of the boxes’ for QPR, suggesting that he’s a good appointment.
Holloway kicks off his second spell as QPR manager with a home game against Norwich City this weekend, and he’ll be hoping to start with a win and prove why Fernandes has brought him back to West London.
