Rodney Marsh has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the dismissal of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as the Queens Park Rangers manager at the weekend.

QPR sacked Hasselbaink on Saturday evening following the team’s failure to win against Nottingham Forest away from home.

Rangers played out a 1-1 draw with Forest at the City Ground in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Former QPR forward Marsh has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the club’s decision to part company with Hasselbaink.

Arizona United SC defender Peter Ramage, who was on the books of QPR from 2008 until 2012, has also given his thoughts on the current situation at Loftus Road on Twitter.

Hasselbaink was appointed as the QPR manager in December, but the 44-year-old was able to win just 14 of his 47 matches in charge.

The former Leeds United striker arrived at Loftus Road after doing a very good job at Burton Albion. It will be interesting to see who Rangers appoint as the successor to Hasselbaink.

A top-six finish in the Championship this season is still possible for the London club, but they have to put together a run of positive results soon.
