Wayne Rooney has joined Everton from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Former Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has taken to social networking site Twitter to hit back at the detractors of Wayne Rooney.
Rooney has joined his former club Everton from Premier League rivals United in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old forward started his professional club football career at Goodison Park and left for Old Trafford in 2004.
During his time at United, the England international, who has also operated as a midfielder, won the Premier League five times, the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League once each, and the League Cup on three occasions.
Rooney is also United’s record goalscorer, finding the net 253 times in 559 times for the Red Devils, who are one of the biggest clubs in the world.
The forward has played 119 times for the England national football team as well, scoring 53 goals in the process.
