Manchester City failed to win against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Rodney Marsh has criticised Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on social networking site Twitter.

The former Queens Park Rangers and City forward was not impressed with Guardiola’s tactics against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.

The Citizens went 2-0 up at the Etihad Stadium after 54 minutes, but the home team conceded twice thereafter to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Marsh believes that City’s failure to win the match against Spurs after going 2-0 up was Guardiola’s fault.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, hosts City had 55% of the possession, took 17 shots of which seven were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Tottenham had 45% of the possession, took six shots of which two were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.

City will return to action next weekend when they take on Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Citizens are outside the top four of the Premier League at the moment.
