Manchester City won against Everton on Saturday.

Rodney Marsh has compared the current Manchester City team to the Leeds United side of the 1970s on Twitter following the match against Everton on Saturday afternoon.
Marsh, who played for City in the 1970s, made the comparison following City’s 3-1 win against Everton at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
The Citizens played the way they have done under manager Pep Guardiola since 2016 and deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.
Former England international forward Marsh believes that the way City protect the ball is similar to how Leeds did back in the 1970s.
Leeds, who are now playing in the Championship, were quite successful in the 1970s, winning the Football League First Division title in 1974, finishing second in 1970, 1971 and 1972, and clinching the FA Cup in 1972.

City have been playing superb football so far this season, and Guardiola’s side are favourites for the Premier League title.
The Citizens are also aiming to clinch the Champions League this season, but that is going to be very hard given the number of quality teams in the competition, such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
