Rodgers’ side moved to within seven points of clinching the Scottish Premiership title on Wednesday.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers told Sky Sports after the 4-0 win at Inverness on Wednesday night that the performance from his players was exactly what he had hoped for upon his arrival last summer.
The Bhoys had to wait until just before half-time to break the deadlock but ultimately cruised to a convincing win which puts them 27 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The victory was Celtic’s 22nd consecutive league win and puts them on the verge of sealing a sixth successive title at the first time of asking for Rodgers.
The Hoops have been near invincible in the league this term, only failing to win once, in the reverse fixture against Inverness back in September.
Whilst they have been convincing in most of their wins, Rodgers admitted to Sky Sports after Wednesday night’s game that the most recent result and performance represented exactly what the Northern Irish boss hoped to bring to Parkhead when he arrived last summer.
Rodgers said: “It was a really complete performance. I think when I came in here in the summer, if I was to think of a performance that would reflect how we wanted to work and play, this was it.
“That was a demonstration of what we’ve been working towards. Defensively very strong and aggressive, denying them space, giving them no opportunity to play. With the ball, playing with charisma, mobility, penetration and looking a real threat.”
Rodgers will get the league title that he and his side have undoubtedly warranted this term, and attention will then begin to switch to the Glasgow club’s summer plans.
Paramount in importance will be holding on to key attacking stars such as Moussa Dembele – who hit the 30-goal mark against Caley – and Scott Sinclair.
