German media reported Celtic have reignited their interest in Lennart Thy.

Brendan Rodgers has refused to rule out Celtic’s interest in Werder Bremen striker Lennart Thy when asked whether the Hoops are interested in the German striker, in quoted published by Sky Sports.
German outlet 90min.de claimed earlier this week that the Hoops had reignited interest in the 26-year-old forward, with the Daily Record reporting in 2015 that he was being eyed by Celtic when at St. Pauli.
Now with Dutch side VVV-Venlo, on loan from Bremen, Thy has cropped up again after scoring eight goals and laying on six assists in 30 league and cup outings this season.

Rodgers was asked if the Scottish champions were interested in the seven-time Germany Under-20 international, and he did not say either way whether the Hoops were eyeing a move to land the forward.
“If there was (interest in Lennart Thy) I still wouldn’t tell you. There is so much speculation around, and players I haven’t even heard of sometimes. I think the game has already started linking players with clubs,” Rodgers said.
“There is always speculation and that one, probably, is one of many.”

Thy’s contract expires at the end of the season and Celtic would be able to land the striker on a free transfer, unless Bremen decide to offer him a new deal.
The Hoops already boast Leigh Griffiths, Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard in attack, but the latter remains only on loan from Paris Saint-Germain and it remains to be seen if he has done enough to warrant a permanent move.
