Celtic have snapped up forward Paris Saint-Germain winger Odsonne Edouard on loan.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told The Sunday Post that he thinks new signing Odsonne Edouard can have a Moussa Dembele-like impact at Celtic Park after arriving from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Bhoys completed permanent deals for Kundai Benyu, Olivier Ntcham and Jonny Hayes earlier in the summer, before bringing Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts back to the club in another loan deal.
However, Rodgers was still keen to bring in one more new signing before Thursday’s transfer deadline, and he got his man in Paris Saint-Germain youngster Odsonne Edouard.

Rodgers wanted a forward who can play out wide, and Edouard brings just that, with Celtic retaining an option to purchase the Frenchman after the end of his season-long loan deal.
Edouard, 19, has come up through the ranks with PSG having arrived in 2011, but he has yet to make his first competitive appearance for the French giants, and spent time out on loan with Ligue 1 rivals Toulouse last season.
The forward notched one goal in 17 games for Toulouse before being sent back to PSG, with Unai Emery’s men bringing in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe this summer, Edouard has moved on for first-team football.

Now, manager Rodgers has discussed his move for Edouard, telling The Sunday Post that he feels Celtic have snapped up one of Europe’s most exciting young attacking players in something of a coup for the Bhoys.
Rodgers also believes that Edouard can have an impact similar to current Bhoys star and fellow ex-PSG youngster Moussa Dembele, with the Celtic boss believing that he will excite fans once he gets going in Glasgow.
“In Odsonne, we have signed one of the best and most exciting young strikers in Europe and I think Celtic will be a place where he can flourish, just like Moussa Dembele has done here,” said Rodgers. “He will be great for us and the kind of player who will excite our fans – we have done a great job in bringing him to the club,” he added.
