Celtic have a mountain to climb already if they are to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has spoken to BBC Sport before his side’s crucial Champions League clash against Manchester City tomorrow night at Celtic Park, and the Northern Irishman insists there will be one major difference in their play form their loss to Barcelona.
The Hoops were humbled at the Nou Camp, and after losing 7-0, they sit rock bottom of Group C.
Rodgers is adamant, however, that there will be one major difference in his side’s performance tomorrow night when speaking to BBC Sport:

“We know the size of the task at Celtic Park. We will look to learn from the Barcelona experience, we know it’s a huge challenge for us again, but one thing is for sure, we won’t be as passive as we were in that game, and hopefully we’ll be much more aggressive in our play.”
Celtic’s league campaign has been an entirely different story to their fortunes on the continent, and they currently sit four points clear of second-placed Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership table.
In order for the Glasgow giants to stand a chance tomorrow night, they will need every single one of their players to play to their absolute maximum potential.

The Hoops do have a history of famous Champions League victories in recent years, including a 1-0 win over Manchester United in 2006 and a 2-1 victory over Barcelona in 2012.
What Rodgers wouldn’t give for either of those score-lines tomorrow.
