Rangers have been looking to sign American youngster Andrew Gutman.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told The Scottish Sun that there is nothing to add to reports that the Bhoys are swooping for Rangers trialist Andrew Gutman.
Gutman, 22, is still in the US collegiate system with the University of Indiana, with his performance earning rave reviews and even awards.
Just days ago, Gutman won the Hermann Trophy, the most prestigious award for a college football player, and he could be Scotland-bound in the near future.
Last month, Gutman joined up with Rangers on trial, taking part in first-team training sessions under Steven Gerrard in an attempt to win a deal with the Gers.
Earlier this week though, The Athletic reported that a stunning U-turn could be on the cards, as Rangers’ Old Firm rivals Celtic are attempting to snatch him away from the Gers.
Celtic are believed to be offering the left back a contract, but boss Rodgers has remained coy on the situation, suggesting that there is nothing to add right now even if Celtic are looking at ‘project signings’.

“Some of the boys are young guys or project signings for the club that can’t come in straight away,” said Rodgers. “But there’s nothing really to add on that,” he added.
One major clue may have been spotted on social media though, as Gutman has started following Celtic this week, possibly hinting that he is Parkhead-bound.
The situation is a major surprise that few could have seen coming, and whilst no deal is done yet, it seems that Gutman could be signing for Celtic instead of Rangers.
