Celtic take on Rosenborg in the Europa League on Thursday.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told the club’s official Twitter account that Kristoffer Ajer is out of Thursday’s game against Rosenborg, with Nir Bitton out until at least October.
The Bhoys kick off their Europa League campaign on Thursday at Celtic Park, with Norwegian side Rosenborg heading to Glasgow.
Celtic faced Rosenborg in the Champions League qualifiers over the summer, advancing 3-1 on aggregate, before ultimately crashing out to AEK Athens.
Now, the two sides meet again at Celtic Park, with the Bhoys no doubt confident of another win against Rini Coolen’s side, even if they won the Norwegian title last season.
Ahead of Thursday’s clash, Celtic boss Rodgers has given an injury update to fans, with three players focused on in this afternoon’s press conference.
Firstly, Rodgers confirmed that defender Jack Hendry is back in training and available for selection, after the Scot suffered an injury last month.

Rodgers added bad news though, as Norwegian defender Kristoffer Ajer seemingly won’t face Rosenborg and many of his compatriots, as he has a virus, making him a ‘big doubt’.
Additionally, midfielder Nir Bitton won’t play again until October through injury, as whilst Rodgers said he is progressing well, he still won’t play in October.
