Celtic and West Ham United are reportedly keen on Hibernian’s John McGinn.

Hibernian star John McGinn continues to impress – but he seemingly won’t be heading to Celtic in the near future, despite Brendan Rodgers’ admiration.
McGinn, 23, joined Hibs from St Mirren back in 2015, and has starred at Easter Road, hitting 14 goals in 117 appearances for Neil Lennon’s side.
The heartbeat of the Hibs midfield, McGinn has also picked up five caps for Scotland, and looks set for a big move elsewhere in the near future.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Celtic and West Ham United are both keen to land McGinn, but Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers’ recent comments suggest a move may not be imminent.
Many had earmarked McGinn as a replacement for Scott Brown, but Rodgers told the Daily Record this week that Kouassi Eboue – signed from Krasnodar in January of last year – is still the intended replacement for Brown in the future.
That means that Rodgers is unlikely to make a move for McGinn any time soon, and that could give West Ham the perfect opportunity to swoop in and land him.

Manager David Moyes is understood to be a huge fan of his fellow Scot, and with West Ham searching for a new midfielder during the January transfer window, McGinn could be a shrewd purchase.
The jump from Scottish football to the Premier League has been tough for many in the past, but at the right price, McGinn could provide energy and quality on the ball in the West Ham midfield – and moving for him now, before Rodgers has chance to change his mind about Eboue, may be smart for Moyes and the Hammers.
