Celtic are reportedly set to sign RB Leipzig defender Marvin Compper.

Celtic assistant boss Chris Davies has told the Daily Record that a deal for RB Leipzig’s Marvin Compper isn’t done just yet, but he fits the bill for the Bhoys.
The Bhoys saw their 69-game unbeaten domestic record come to a crushing end on Sunday afternoon, with Brendan Rodgers’ men losing 4-0 at Hearts.
Rodgers will now be keen to kickstart another lengthy unbeaten run, but he must bring in defensive reinforcements amid questions over Erik Sviatchenko’s future.

Recent speculation has linked RB Leipzig defender Marvin Compper with a move to Glasgow, and that deal appears to be moving closer by the day.
Compper, 32, arrived in Scotland earlier today to put the finishing touches to a £1million move to Celtic Park, as reported by the Daily Record.
The German, formerly of Borussia Monchengladbach, Hoffenheim and Fiorentina, has played an important role in Leipzig’s rise in recent years, but has played just twice in the Bundesliga this season.

Rather than be phased out at Leipzig, Compper is now heading for Celtic to continue his career, and Bhoys assistant Chris Davies has commented on the deal.
Davies has told the Daily Record that the deal isn’t quite done yet, but Compper fits the profile of what Celtic are looking for, citing that he has played in a similar setup at Leipzig.
“It’s not something that is done yet and obviously we’re not going to talk too much about a player that is not ours,” said Davies. “But he is a player who fits the profile for what we see as being a good centre-half.”
“”You can see that he is used to a similar game style at Leipzig and other teams he has played at,” he added.
