Rod Stewart may have some explaining to do to fans of his music after he was spotted at Haiti vs Scotland just days after cancelling one of his shows in the USA.

Stewart was in Boston for Scotland’s first World Cup game in 28 years, an occasion that every Scottish person did not want to miss.

It coincided with a run of shows he was due to perform at but after cancelling those, he has now been spotted at the stadium.

Rod Stewart cancelled California show

The legendary singer was pencilled in to perform at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre, however, disappointed fans found out that the show was cancelled 45 minutes before Stewart was due to appear on stage.

A statement claimed that the 81-year-old, on doctors orders, had been advised not to perform following “a diagnosis of an acute upper respiratory infection that has resulted in laryngitis…”

24 hours after that though, Stewart posted a video to Instagram and sounded like he had made a miraculous recovery, only to then be spotted watching the Tartan Army against Haiti.

Sat alongside his two sons, he posted a message to address his fans on Instagram, saying: “Here we are flying off to Boston to see Scotland in the World Cup. No Scotland no party.”

He is a well-known football fan and is a supporter of Scottish club Celtic, regularly attending games at Parkhead.
