Leeds face Hull City on Saturday afternoon at Elland Road.
Former Leeds United coach Rod Christopher has claimed on Twitter that his old side will earn a home win against Hull City and move above Sheffield United into sixth place in the Championship table.
The Yorkshire giants are on a strong run of form of late, winning three of their last four games which also includes a draw against Aston Villa at Elland Road. This comes after a dismal run that saw Thomas Christiansen’s side lose eight in 10.
Now, the Whites go up against Hull who have recently had a change in manager following the sacking of Leonid Slutsky. New boss Nigel Adkins will be in the Tigers dugout, looking to end a run of just one win in nine games.
Christopher claimed that Leeds would take advantage of Hull’s poor run of form, earning three points and leapfrogging Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United into sixth place.
The Whites currently sit in seventh place, just one point behind Sheffield United and Aston Villa who are in fifth and sixth. They go up against each other on Saturday evening, which means a Leeds win will see them climb into sixth. If the two sides draw, Leeds will move into fifth place.
Leeds were without Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Stuart Dallas last time out, but they could return. Caleb Ekuban remains a long-term absentee with a foot injury.
