Scoring goals has certainly been a major problem for West Bromwich Albion this season, with none of the club’s players having found the net on more than three occasions across all competitions.

Hal Robson-Kanu, for instance, has only scored twice, and there is little evidence to suggest that the forward is a player who can be relied upon for West Brom, especially as they look to stay in the Premier League.

Capable of playing up front or out wide, Robson-Kanu is a hardworking player but the Welshman lacks ruthlessness in front of goal and has offered little for West Brom of late even though he has featured frequently.

It is clear that West Brom need to improve their attacking options during this transfer window and doing so would certainly significantly reduce Robson-Kanu’s playing time.

Such a move is necessary, however, and in any case West Brom, should they stay up, should consider letting Robson-Kanu move on in the summer as he doesn’t appear to be a player that can be relied upon as a regular source of goals at Premier League level.
