Arsene Wenger managed Robin van Persie at Arsenal before selling him to Manchester United.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger tasted defeat for the last time at Old Trafford yesterday as Manchester United sneaked a late 2-1 win.
Arsenal and Manchester United have enjoyed an intense rivalry during the Wenger era and the Gunners boss famously saw his side win the league there in 2002.
A player at the heart of the rivalry in the years which followed was Dutchman Robin van Persie, who spent almost a decade with the Gunners.

He was controversially sold in 2012 to Manchester United where he went on to win the league a year later for the first time.
Van Persie is currently at former club Feyenoord but still paying attention to his old Premier League sides.
After seeing Wenger being presented with a special award for his long service by foes United, Van Persie hailed the respect being shown towards his old boss, by another of his old clubs.
Arsenal fans still have difficulty forgiving Van Persie for walking out on the Gunners in pursuit of his own personal glory.
The Dutchman’s star burned out shortly after his title success with the Red Devils, and he was sold in 2015 to Fenerbahce before rejoining Feyenoord earlier this year.
