Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played with Robin van Persie at Arsenal.

Van Persie made the comments about Oxlade-Chamberlain following the 26-year-old England international midfielder’s performance in Liverpool’s 4-1 win against KRC Genk away from home in Belgium in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
The former Southampton star scored twice for the Reds to enhance their chances of progressing to the knockout round of the Champion League this season.
Van Persie played with Oxlade-Chamberlain when he was at Arsenal, and the 36-year-old former Manchester United striker has raved about the Liverpool midfielder.
The Liverpool Echo quotes Van Persie as saying about Oxlade-Chamberlain: ”I used to play with him at Arsenal. I saw that in him. He was one of those who had the potential to be a top player. If he can keep doing that, he can still be a top player.”

Progressing at Liverpool
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool from Arsenal in the summer of 2017 and is earning £120,000 per week as salary at the Reds, according to The Guardian.
The Englishman has had injury problems during his time at Anfield so far, but when fit and available, he has been superb and can only get better.
With Liverpool aiming to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season, Oxlade-Chamberlain will play an important role for the Reds.
