Robin Koch has taken to Twitter to share his thoughts on Leeds’ 5-2 win over Newcastle last night.
In the Germany international’s absence, Marcelo Bielsa’s side recorded their most emphatic win of the campaign by sticking five past the Magpies.
The result saw Bielsa’s men score five in a Premier League game for the first time this season.
After full-time, Koch – who is currently injured – tweeted the following.
Despite being without the former SC Freiburg man’s qualities, Leeds looked excellent on a night where everyone had a fantastic game.
Stuart Dallas, who is filling in at right-back with Luke Ayling covering Koch at centre-back, got on the scoresheet with a well-taken header to restore the Whites’ lead.
Elsewhere, Ezgjan Alioski – playing on the opposite side at left-back – also scored to make it 4-2 and take the game away from Newcastle.
It was simply a brilliant, Bielsa masterclass.
As WhoScored shows, Leeds had 25 shots to the Magpies’ ten, while also having 68.7% of the ball.
Leeds also registered 20 key passes, compared to Newcastle’s nine.
It was utter, attacking dominance from Bielsa’s side, who were overdue a rout given their relentless, forward-thinking nature.
The only negative is that Koch wasn’t able to feature in the win!
