Leeds United are in a tricky run of form at the moment, and need any boost they can get as things stand.
The Whites have lost five of their last eight Premier League games, and looked shaky at the back against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa is having to cobble together a defence at the moment, as summer signings Robin Koch and Diego Llorente have both been out of action.
Llorente has struggled with injury ever since arriving from Real Sociedad, whilst Koch picked up a knee injury in early December.
He was expected to be out for three months after undergoing surgery, meaning a return is still likely to be six to eight weeks away.
The summer addition from Freiburg had shown that he was adjusting to life in the Premier League, and his absence in the heart of defence is a big miss for Leeds.

On Wednesday night, Koch took to Twitter to post a clip on Twitter of him working out on an exercise bike, captioning it with ‘comeback sessions’.
Leeds fans will be excited for Koch to return, and whilst it still could be a while yet, his return to action is now starting to draw ever closer.
