Robin Koch has expressed his confidence about Leeds United’s relegation prospects this season.
Currently, Javi Gracia’s side are languishing in 19th place in the league table after what has been a tumultuous campaign at Elland Road. The good news for the Whites is that they are just 2 points off safety.
While things still remain wholly uncertain at Leeds, Robin Koch has said that he has full faith in his side escaping relegation no matter what.
Robin Koch gives Leeds relegation assurance
Gracia himself said that he is confident that the club will survive in the English top-flight, provided they stick together as a unit and fight till the end.
It seems Robin Koch has echoed his manager’s thoughts as he is assured about Leeds escaping relegation, despite being firmly in and amongst the danger zone at present.
“The question doesn’t come up. I’m convinced that we will not be relegated. The position in the table doesn’t reflect our performance. We play a lot of good games but we forget to score”, he said in an interview with German outlet Spox.

It’s fair to say that a majority of the club’s fanbase may not be as confident as the ‘incredible’ £38,000-a-week defender.
Exact kind of mentality needed to beat the storm
However, the mentality shown by Robin Koch is exactly what needs to manifest on the pitch from the Leeds players for them to escape the relegation battle.
Considering just how underwhelming they have been throughout the campaign, to say that they are too good to go down would be underestimating the task at hand.
Simultaneously, Robin Koch and Co. must believe that despite Leeds being understandably tipped for relegation, they must dig deep and ensure that they simply cannot allow that to happen, especially after their much-awaited return to the Premier League as recently as in 2020.
