Ian Wright has given his reaction on Instagram to Liverpool defender Andy Robertson signing a new contract with the club.
The Arsenal legend has said that it is “fantastic news”, and believes that Robertson fully deserves his new deal.
Earlier today, Liverpool announced on their official website that Scotland international left-back Robertson, 27, has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract.
The left-back has taken to Instagram to express his delight at extending his stay at Liverpool, and former Arsenal star and Match of the Day pundit Wright has responded to it.
Robertson is one of the best left-backs in the world who has grown and developed so much at Liverpool.
The Scotland international is at the top of his game now, and given that he is 27, he still has a fair few good years left in him.
The former Hull City star is very solid and committed defensively, and he is also a force to be reckoned with when going on the attack.
Robertson scored one goal and gave seven assists in the Premier League last season, while in 2019-20, he found the back of the net twice and provided 12 assists in the league.
The left-back has scored five goals in 189 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
