Andy Robertson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain recently took part in a ‘True or False’ feature on Sky Sports, which led to some interesting revelations.
One question led to the two Liverpool stars praising Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney.
When asked if Robertson was the best left-back in the world, the Scotland international showed humility when choosing the ‘false’ option.
Liverpool’s No.23 was then asked, if not him, then who is the world’s best?
After naming the likes of David Alaba, Alphonso Davies and Ben Chilwell, Robertson said: ‘Tierney at Arsenal? Fellow Scotsman.’

Oxlade-Chamberlain then quips ‘to be fair, he is a Scotsman who can cut in on his left and score with his right’ in a jokey dig at his teammate,
Evidently, Tierney has the respect of his Premier League peers.
To be mentioned in the same breath as some of the aforementioned left-backs is very, very high praise indeed, and he deserves it.

Tierney has been outstanding for Arsenal this season, where his overlapping runs and impressive end product are a huge feature of the Gunners’ play.
At just 23 years of age, the £25 million signing from Celtic is only going to get better, which is a scary prospect to consider.
Sadly for Scotland, they just happen to possess two of the world’s best left-backs in their ranks, so Steve Clarke has a job on his hands to try and fit both into his team!
