Tottenham suffered a 2-1 loss to Leicester City on Tuesday night.

Tottenham Hotspur icon Graham Roberts has claimed on Twitter that Spurs duo Harry Kane and Mauricio Pochettino’s winning mentality will prove crucial in helping the north Londoners stop the rot.

Spurs have taken one point from a possible nine in their last three Premier League outings, losing to Arsenal and Leicester and managing a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Kane, 24, has continued his red-hot form through the poor spell, scoring against West Brom and then against Leicester on Tuesday night during his side’s 2-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium.

Former Spurs ace Roberts claimed that Kane and Pochettino’s desire to win will push Spurs through the difficult spell, claiming their rocky form will be “put right” by the duo.

Spurs now sit in a lowly fifth place despite pre-season expectations of a Premier League title challenge, with 13 points separating Pochettino’s side from league leaders Manchester City.

Kane and the rest of the Spurs squad will be looking to put a stop to their bad run of results with a win away at Watford on Saturday afternoon, before what should be a comfortable victory against Cyprus champions APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League on Wednesday.
