Tottenham have started the season with three wins out of three.

Mauricio Pochettino, Manager of Tottenham Hotspur speaks to the media during the press conference at Allianz Stadium on February 12, 2018 in Turin, Italy.

In recent years Tottenham Hotspur have been slow starters in the Premier League.

Not this season. Spurs have a 100 per cent record through three games, following wins over Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester United.

Surprisingly this impressive start has come after a summer in which Tottenham signed no players – although importantly they kept hold of their key stars as well.

A frustrating summer in terms of incomings saw plenty of Tottenham fans express their annoyance at a lack of transfers.

Former club captain Graham Roberts has told those who moaned to consider making an apology to chairman Daniel Levy.

It was a risky strategy from the Spurs chairman not to improve the squad, as an early loss would have seen the reaction go the other way.

Clearly Tottenham were confident with the team they had, and were right to be.

Yet the season is only just getting started, and some fans who felt let down may choose to reserve their judgement until the end of the campaign.
