Former Tottenham star was keen to try and spread the ‘dive’ controversy around.

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli attracted more criticism yesterday after an alleged dive against Crystal Palace.
Alli was slated on Match of the Day while host Gary Lineker tore into him during the game via Twitter.
Former Spurs defender Graham Roberts was unimpressed with the criticism and asked why Arsenal players were not being nitpicked in the same way for their alleged dives against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
He picked out Jack Wilshere and Nacho Monreal as two who should have the spotlight shined upon them.
Lineker responded by joking that like their performance at Wembley, their dives were terrible.
The critique of Lineker did not end there as a Tottenham fan called out his own performances as a player, accusing him of taking similar actions to Alli, using an example from Italia ’90, while Roberts also chimed in.
Lineker hit back by claiming he did nothing wrong in this instance.
If Dele Alli does what he has been doing for Spurs while playing for England at the World Cup this summer it’s natural to wonder whether the criticism will be as harsh as it currently is.
