The former Tottenham Hotspur star once again nailed his support to the post.
Roberto Soldado at a Villarreal press conference
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado took to Twitter to message West Ham defender Alvaro Arbeloa ahead of the London derby between the two clubs on Saturday evening.
Despite his difficult spell in North London, many Spurs fans have retained a fondness of the Spaniard, and it is clearly a mutual respect, with Soldado regularly tweeting his support for his old side.
This last tweet saw him throw his weight behind Spurs in their second successive London derby, following on from an impressive 1-1 draw at the Emirates in their previous game.
It meant that Soldado was going against a close friend of him in West Ham defender Alvaro Arbeloa.
The former Liverpool fullback is back up in East London after a spell with Real Madrid. Both players came through the academy at Los Blancos at roughly the same time, while they also featured for Spain over a number of years.
31-year-old Soldado is currently out with a long term knee injury, having impressed during his first season at Villarreal. Arbeloa has made just three appearances in Hammers colours, and was not in the match day eighteen at White Hart Lane.
