Crystal Palace are eyeing a potential £22m move to bring Michy Batshuayi back to Selhurst Park from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Roberto Martinez has indicated that Michy Batshuayi needs to leave life on the Chelsea bench behind in January with Crystal Palace determined to bring the Belgium international back to Selhurst Park.
Batshuayi was a big hit with the Eagles last season, scoring six goals in 11 starts for Roy Hodgson’s side during a loan spell in the second half of 2018/19.
And with Palace still lacking real game-changing quality in the final third despite a fine start to the season which had them sixth in the table heading into the October international break, The Mirror (8 October, page 53) claims that Roy Hodgson’s side have their sights set on re-signing the striker on a permanent basis.
Chelsea are apparently willing to listen to offers of £22 million for a man who has played just 45 minutes of Premier League football all season.
And with Belgium manager Martinez keen to ensure all of his charges are playing regular first-team football heading into Euro 2020, he has implored Batshuayi have a serious think about his future.

“He doesn’t play enough at Chelsea. I think that’s a shame, even though he scores a lot with the national team,” the former Everton and Wigan manager told Het Nieuwsblad after Batshuayi scored against both San Marino and Kazakhstan over the last few days.
“I hope he will play more, because we really need him. He has to play. Otherwise a solution must be found.”
This should be all the encouragement Batshuayi needs to bring an overdue end to life on the fringes at Stamford Bridge. He would unquestionably be the main man at Palace and that surely has to appeal.
