Aston Villa has already signed three players so far this summer.

Roberto Di Matteo has told the Guardian that Aston Villa could make as many as four new signings before the close of the transfer window.
Villa have already brought in Pierluigi Gollini, Tommy Elphick and Aaron Tshibola this summer, as they look to strengthen their squad.

The Claret and Blues are currently one of the favourites to be promoted from the Championship, but Di Matteo realises that there is a lot of work to be done if his side are to live up to expectations.
Villa’s lack of quality was exposed last term, when they won just three matches across the entire Premier League season.
And Di Matteo has now confirmed that he is still chasing additions, ahead of the start of next campaign.
“I don’t want to put it into numbers. I’m certainly looking to freshen up the squad … [but] I don’t know if it is one more, three more or four more,” he said.

Villa have been linked with a whole host of players this summer, with new owner Tony Xia prepared to invest heavily.
Villa are believed to be chasing at least one more striker and a midfielder before the start of next season.
The Claret and Blues’ competitive campaign commences which a match against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
