Aston Villa have signed Pierluigi Gollini from Hellas Verona.

Aston Villa manager Roberto Di Matteo has told the club’s official website that Pierluigi Gollini will prove to be a good signing.
Villa have signed Gollini from Italian club Hellas Verona on a four-year contract, as announced on the Championship outfit’s official website earlier today.
Di Matteo is delighted to have secured the services of the 21-year-old goalkeeper, and has predicted a bright future for him at Villa Park.

“I am very pleased to have brought in Pierluigi,” Di Matteo told Villa’s official website. “We have managed to sign him despite the fact he was being chased by a number of top sides and that is a great sign.
“He’s a young man but has plenty of experience and I’m sure he’ll prove to be an excellent signing for the club.”

Gollini is s talented, young goalkeeper, and he should prove to be a good signing for Villa.
The youngster does not have too much experience of top-flight football, and it is likely that Villa have signed him as a long-term prospect.
During the 2015-16 season, the 21-year-old featured in 26 Serie A appearances for Hellas, keeping two clean sheets in the process.
The Italy Under-21 international goalkeeper made 2.31 saves per game and 1.40 saves per on average for Hellas.
Villa will feature in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
