Aston Villa have won just one Championship match so far this season.

Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed to Aston Villa’s official website that he is in contact with owner Tony Xia.
Di Matteo is believed to be under pressure as Villa boss, after what has been a poor start to the campaign.
The Guardian have suggested that Di Matteo must lead Villa to victory in their next match against Preston North End if he is to avoid losing his job.
And Di Matteo has admitted that everyone at Villa is very disappointed with their results so far this season.

“We are in touch, yes,” the Italian boss confirmed.
“We are all disappointed with the results. We have drawn too many games that we could and should have won.
“We are all disappointed with the points tally that we have.”

Villa have still only won once so far this season, and they continue to struggle to get over the line in matches.
The Claret and Blues conceded late on again in their match against Barnsley, to let their lead slip.
Villa have now thrown away 11 points from winning positions already this season, and currently sit in 17th place in the Championship table.
