Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has praised Liverpool on the club’s official website after playing against Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield on Saturday, describing them as “fantastic”.
Klopp’s Liverpool played out a 3-3 draw with De Zerbi’s Brighton at home in the Premier League.
It was De Zerbi’s first game in charge of the Seagulls following the departure of Graham Potter to Chelsea.
Liverpool were actually 2-0 down at one stage and had to work extremely hard to pick up a point from the encounter.

De Zerbi said: “There was a possibility to win the game but Liverpool is a fantastic team.”

Disappointing result for the Reds
In our opinion, Liverpool will be disappointed with their performance against Brighton and Hove Albion and at the final result.
Now, of course, you have to praise the Reds for the way they came back from two goals down.
And Liverpool were also in the lead at one point.
However, conceding three goals at Anfield shows just how bad Liverpool were defensively.
Yes, Brighton played well and are a very good team, but Liverpool have better players – on paper anyway – and should have picked up all three points from the encounter.
Liverpool are looking more and more likely not to be able to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
