Robert Snodgrass scored twice for West Ham United in the Carabao Cup last night.

Snodgrass was brought to West Ham back in January 2017 in a £10 million deal (BBC Sport), but it has taken him a long time to really prove his worth.
The winger was sent out on loan to Aston Villa for the whole of last season, but Manuel Pellegrini’s arrival has given him a reprieve.
Snodgrass now seems to have an important role to play at West Ham, and he has featured regularly this season.
The Scottish international started last night, in West Ham’s 8-0 win over Macclesfield Town, and put in a bright showing.
Snodgrass scored twice for the Hammers during the contest, and he has thanked West Ham fans for showing him so much support during his time at the club.
“I’ve got a connection with the West Ham fans because they were always there for me, showing me support and that sort of stuff and now they’re wishing me well again,” he said.

“That’s the sort of fans they are and I want to try and repay them sticking by me and showing me that support. In pre-season I worked hard and tried to push myself into the manager’s plans and that’s all I’m trying to do, really.”
Snodgrass is still only a rotational option for the Hammers, but it seems that Pellegrini does rate him highly.
Snodgrass is likely to be involved again at the weekend, when West Ham take on Manchester United.
