Robert Snodgrass was impressed with Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson’s performance on Sunday.
West Ham United-owned Aston Villa winger Robert Snodgrass has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson.
Snodgrass, who joined Championship club Aston Villa on loan from Premier League side West Ham in the summer of 2017, was impressed with the performance of Robertson for Liverpool against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday evening.
The 23-year-old left-back was superb for the Reds and played a key role in their 4-3 victory over City at Anfield in the Premier League game.
Snodgrass was following the match, and the 30-year-old former Leeds United and Norwich City winger was impressed with the performance of his Scotland international teammate for Liverpool against City, and so was ex-Red left-back John Arne Riise.
Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £10 million.
The Scotland international has not always been used by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, but the 23-year-old’s performance agains City suggests that he should be given the left-back spot on a permanent basis.
