Robert Snodgrass has been asked to predict the outcome of Saturday’s Old Firm encounter between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox.
And the Scotland winger told Talksport he ‘cannot see by’ one side winning the season’s first meeting of the two sides, which takes place at Rangers’ home ground.
“I’m going for Celtic,” he said. “I cannot see by Celtic just now, the invincibles of last year. They’re flying, Brendan Rodgers is playing the style of football that everybody [in Glasgow] is desperate for a season ticket at Celtic Park. He’s got [the club] back where it belongs in the Champions League. I can’t see by Celtic.”

Snodgrass, who currently plays for Aston Villa on loan from West Ham United, previously told the Daily Record he trained at both Celtic and Rangers as a kid, but grew up a fan of the Bhoys and wore the club’s kit beneath his Gers shorts.
The 30-year-old began his professional career at Livingston, before moves to Leeds United, Norwich City, Hull City and West Ham.

Celtic have won seven of their last nine meetings with Rangers, whose only success in that time came via a penalty shoot-out in the Scottish Cup semi-finals 17 months ago.
The Ibrox side haven’t beaten their city rivals in normal time since March 2012, shortly before their relocation to the fourth tier of Scottish football.
