Robert Snodgrass has blamed everyone but himself for his poor performances since his £10 million January move from Hull City.
West Ham United’s Robert Snodgrass looks dejected
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Snodgrass blamed the fact his family had remained up north after his move from Hull and even manager Slaven Bilic for his dire displays in the claret and blue.
The Scotland international had nine goals and plenty of assists for Hull in the first half of last season before the biggest move of his career.
He was brought in to replace the talismanic Dimitri Payet and while nobody was expecting Snodgrass to be anywhere near the Frenchman’s level – even though he cost the same amount – fans soon grew fed up with his performances.
Snodgrass has failed to impress
A distinct lack of pace and no sign of any real goal threat or even his trademark set pieces, Snodgrass really has failed to impress.
One of the main reasons Bilic signed the former Leeds United man was because he was already a seasoned Premier League player who would not need time to adjust.
But you would not know that from his performances.
Snodgrass has even blamed manager Slaven Bilic for his failings
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Snodgrass said not having his family with him in London and Bilic’s decision to play him on the left of midfield rather than his preferred position on the right was to blame for his poor displays.
But those excuses simply do not wash with Hammers fans, who have already seen enough and many hope reports linking him with a move to Brighton are accurate.
